Abstract
A Bayesian analysis of an HIV dynamic model using data from Perelson et al. (1996) is presented. The prior distribution is based on the scientific literature prior to 1996. A nonlinear mixed-effects model is introduced that explicitly models variability between subjects. Both maximum likelihood and Bayesian analyses are given.
