Abstract

At the time of writing, no commercial design of these batteries exists. However, Eagle-Picher, and no doubt other companies, are conducting long-term development on such designs which it is hoped will become viable contenders available for non-space application, in addition to their already established space applications where cost has not been an important consideration.
