Blood-compatible polymers

Abstract

This article describes polymers which are blood-compatible not by the addition of anticoagulants or due to the formation of neointima, but because they consist of antithrombogenic biomaterial that does not include blood-soluble additives either. Since research in this area is still in its infancy, the author has placed the emphasis on his own experimental results.
