Abstract

This book is a comprehensive thesis on drug stability. All areas of stability (including chemical, physical, and regulatory) have been extensively discussed and illustrated with copious examples. The book is well written and the chapters flow nicely together. Chapter 1 provides an historical background and presents clear definitions of the terminology that is used today. In many books the introductory or overview chapter is oftentimes overlooked by readers. For the subject of drug stability, however, where a plethora of terminology is used, this overview chapter is a significant contribution. The terms that are used in latter parts of the book are clearly delineated for the reader, and confusion is avoided.
